Nigel should now join the independent democrat's-You only go forward then and with no party political blindness or a woman blinded with no direction! I have been a candidate a few times and beat LIB dems and labour on each occasion with Tory as the winner..But I fight for the local public and England and not a so-called son of a church(Brown) or to more…

Ok, I think you are confused a little here firstly I couldn't give a monkeys arse about the EU, my concern is with Britain and Britain alone. Given a chance I would withdraw Great Britain from the EU immediately.
Nobody has ever been jailed for saying that WW2 never happened as it quite obviously did. David Irving a historian was jaile more…

On one hand the entire EU preaches free speech, on the other hand, they jail people for simply saying they dont believe World War 2 ever happened. That is how rediculous we look to outsiders. No wonder they dont respect us. We dont even respect our own values. more…

It is clear that you only know the Saudi form of Islam which most muslims reject as a perversion of the their faith.
This is like presenting Ku Klax Klan as a representatives of Jesus.

I'm confused now - how can the police or the government solve the problem when the Muslim community believe that every house raided constitutes a racially motivated attack by the police.
Surely when investigating Islamic terrorists a vast percentage of people arrested, searched or questioned would be Muslim? This is purely common sens more…

These events and those that perpetrate it are as much my problem as they are yours, as much a problem the muslim community has to resolve as does the govt and police.
What I resent is this idea that because these men claim they acted out of Islamic convictions the muslim community has to be held to account for their actions and they ar more…

"I am muslim but I did not carry out those actions and I don’t believe any knowledgeable muslim could have done such a thing"
And that is exactly the problem, the Muslim community denies involvement and buries it's head in the sand everytime something happens instead of taking hold of the problem and trying to do something about it. < more…

British soldiers and Police were indeed bombed by Jewish terrorists in the 1940's During the crusades Christians rampaged through the middle east and yes the Tamil Tigers have used suicide bombers. The IRA are a catholic group but I would suggest their actions were instigated by territorial claims rather than religion.

Mike, There is a difference between expressing an opinion and ridiculing someone’s faith, which only serves to polarize people, which in the present climate is unhelpful to say the least. I think this is what these “leading muslims” you refer to were trying to express but more often than not, people only hear what they want to.

The people who think for themselves are those who have the chance to stop the snowball. The more there are the better our chance as a society.
Unfortunately, as history teaches us over and again, most people -- regardless of religion -- don't think for themselves. But prefer to be led by emotional calls.
Fortunately, Eng more…

Suicide bombers - Hindu's in the partition of India to rid the country of Muslims. Also in the 40s British soldiers in the middle east were bombed by Jewish terrorists, and need I mention the religious and territorial actions of the IRA? Don't act as though only one religion perpetrates international crime.

You have just proven my point for me in it's entirety. Knowingly or not you have already assumed the role of 'victim'
Let me tell you what is scary about living in Britain, mad mullahs preaching hate against the west, suicide bombers and the rise of militant Islam.

^^ really? I am muslim and he has given me no such excuse, I have a mind of my own and surprisingly other muslims in the UK do as well. Dr Bari has the right to express his opinion but he does not speak for each and every muslim.

You are absolutely right, I think we are at a point though where it is getting increasingly difficult to appease the Muslim community.
After 7/7 many Muslims including some families of the suicide bombers blamed the bombings on a British government conspiracy rather than accept that their fellow Muslims had done this. They then of cour more…

A scary thing is that facts don’t matter. They never have, they never will. What Dr. Bari is trying to do is no different to what most other politicians do. Invoke emotions. People don’t check facts, they react. If Muslims will start laming any misfortune they have on victimisation, that he has achieved his goal. How to change this course of event, more…

You may be interested in the Miranda Grell story, which rumbles on locally in Walthamstow - she spread lies about a rival candidate in a situation where it would quite clearly lead to him being seriously endangered. Despite her conviction as a liar, the Labour party will not disassociate itself from this awful woman.

Yes comments such as these may offend someone who is on the 'touchy' side I completely agree. The points I made were disputing the fact that this was racially motivated and the sheer over-reaction by Mr Khan.
You originally argued that this was discrimination based on the fact that Mr Khan is Asian.

I have no doubt you believe muslims and aren't discriminated against in this country, and are just touchy. The fact is people like you, Richard Littlejohn et al are wrong. You've never been discriminated against in the fashion these people are, just like blacks were after the Windrush, the Irish before them and the Jews before them.

Try reading the argument and replying sensibly. Not being a 'Nonce Bucket' as you so eloquently put it, no I wouldn't mind being called one (if I happened to be called Michael Jackson)
